Limerick Pride Climax party will offer three floors of music and fun!
Limerick Pride LGBTQ Festival 2022 will be taking place starting from Monday, July 4 until Sunday, July 10 with the Parade on Saturday, July 9 and will feature a multitude of events from workshops, support meetings and discussions to evenings of music and club nights, to cater to the Pride needs of everyone.
The theme this year is ‘Pride is Culture’ to shed light on the joy and resilience of artists and cultural creators within the LGBTQIA+ community.
Limerick Pride Climax Party will take place at Dolan’s Warehouse on Saturday, July 9 from 8:30 pm.
Limerick Pride Climax Party will have a stellar line-up of fantastic acts with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Courtney Act as the headliner. International drag queen, drag race alumni and Celebrity Big Brother UK winner Courtney Act is the stage name of Shane Jenek from Brisbane, Australia. Courtney competed in the first season of Australian Idol in 2003, and she was the first LGBTQ+ contestant to openly appear on a reality show. In June of 2019, she was placed third on the list of the ‘most powerful drag queens in America’, a ranking of 100 former Drag Race contestants.
Supporting Courtney is Sarah McTernan, former The Voice of Ireland contestant and Ireland representative at the Eurovision Song Contest who will be performing some of her beloved dance tracks including her hit ‘Heavy on my Heart’. Limerick’s own burlesque artist Miss LaVelle will also make an appearance on the main stage.
The event will be a huge night, hosted by Victoria Secret who will be joined by the rest of the Dragged Up team – Paul Ryder, Regina George and Pixxie. The Dragged Up team has been strutting in heels since 2011 with renowned Drag Queens travelling from all over the world to Dublin over the last eight years to perform with Dragged Up.
Three DJs in three rooms will offer something for everyone including ‘Saved by the 90s’ upstairs, ‘Alter Ego’ with Olivia Chau in the Kasbah Club and a DJ set from Spin South West in the warehouse.
Doors will open for VIP ticket holders at 7:15 pm and general admission doors will open at 8:30 pm. The show will begin at 9 pm sharp.
Tickets start at €20 for general admission with access to all 3 rooms, a limited VIP package for €60 will include a glass of Prosecco on arrival, a meet, chat and take photos with the artists on the main stage and a meet and greet with Courtney Act including a professional photo taken by I Love Limerick.
